We need a tenacious individual who can work effectively with various personalities to bring communities together through exercise.
Under the supervision of the Stronger Austin Program Manager, Fitness Class Monitors will be responsible for class room set up, participant registration, monitoring attendance, engaging with participants, ensuring that our Fitness Instructors are able to lead exercise classes to community groups in a fun and engaging manner, promoting Stronger Austin programming and local meetings and events, and other instructor duties as assigned by the Stronger Austin leadership team.

▪       A health and fitness enthusiast. You have a passion about health and fitness and bring a basic knowledge in sports, nutrition, exercise, and/or health.
What you’ll bring:
▪       Ability to adapt quickly to unforeseen changes
▪       High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks
▪       General computer literacy required to answer e-mails and submit time sheets
▪       Prolonged standing, walking, twisting, bending, and repetitive motions
▪       Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally with assistance and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift or move
▪       Ability and willingness to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision
▪       Experience working with local communities is strongly preferred
▪       Current CPR Certification
▪       Fluency in Spanish, or other languages is preferred
