Who we want:
The Choose Healthier Intern will work closely with the Choose Healthier Manager and Programs Team to enhance the Choose Healthier Program by building and maintaining relationships with local and regional businesses and organizations and assist in continuing expansion efforts to new regions in Texas. The Choose Healthier Intern will be responsible for a number of projects that vary in timeframe, scale, and orientation. The purpose of these projects is not only to help improve IT’S TIME TEXAS business initiatives, but also to provide valuable knowledge and experience to the intern’s education and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and foster relationships with business and organizations
  • Promote the Choose Healthier Mobile App through events and community outreach
  • Provide outreach support to new and existing partners as needed
  • Conduct maintenance and quality assurance checks of Choose Healthier website and mobile app
  • Manage and track data in the custom content management system
  • Support the Programs team as needed

What you’ll bring:
▪      Bachelor’s or Master’s program with a minimum GPA of 3.0, Degree in Business, Health, or Communications is a plus
▪      Strong verbal and written communications skills
▪      A passion for health and motivation to work for a non-profit
▪      The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
▪      Self-motivation: The ability to work under minimal supervision
▪      Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, or similar applications
▪      Experience working with custom content management system (preferred, not required)
