Who we want:
The marketing department seeks interns with strong written and in-person communication skills who can think creatively and harness their specific skills to deepen engagement with current IT’S TIME TEXAS supporters and raise awareness of the cause. The purpose of these projects is not only to help improve IT’S TIME TEXAS’ impact on the community, but also to provide valuable knowledge and experience to the intern’s education and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
▪       Work directly with and provide support to the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Marketing Specialist
▪      Create content for and manage social media accounts 
▪      Contribute to marketing strategy for events, initiatives, and programs
▪      Assist with managing the Google AdWords account and other digital advertising efforts
▪      Write, edit, and manage WordPress-based blog content
▪      Perform market research
▪      Support the creation and development of a variety of marketing and communications materials (i.e. newsletters, posters, flyers, ads, etc.)

▪       An excellent communicator. You have an ability to listen actively and effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.
▪       Social media savvy. You are actively involved with social media and enjoy creating content.
What you’ll bring:
▪       Sophomore, Junior, or Senior working toward a Bachelors’ degree in public relations, advertising, marketing, film, design, or related field         
▪       Minimum of 3.0 GPA
▪       Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and leverage resources accordingly
▪       Ability and willingness to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision
▪       Active involvement with social media (familiarity with Hootsuite a plus)
▪       Basic web design and editing experience a plus (HTML, CSS)
▪       Familiarity with CMS (WordPress and Drupal a plus)
▪       Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
